One key, many doors

Master Key Systems for Port Wentworth Businesses

A master key system gives managers a single key that opens every door, while each employee gets a key that only opens what they need. We design and install master key systems for warehouses, offices, multi-tenant buildings, and self-storage operations along the Hwy 21 corridor.

Master key systems designed for your building

A master key system lets one key open every door in your building, while smaller "change keys" only open specific doors or zones. So a manager has one key for everything, the floor supervisor has a key for their floor, and each employee has a key only for their office or storage area. It's how most multi-tenant buildings, warehouses and self-storage operations are set up.

How we design one

We start by walking the building with you (or working from a floor plan) and listing every door that needs to be in the system. Then we group them into "key levels" — who needs to open what. We build a chart, sit with you to confirm it makes sense, and then go cut the keys and pin the cylinders to match.

Pin and key control

For most jobs, we use Schlage Primus or Medeco when you want real security and patented key control (so a former employee can't walk into a hardware store and copy their old key). For lighter-duty buildings, standard Schlage SC1 keyway works fine — and is much simpler to maintain.

Maintenance and changes

People come and go. Locks need to be changed when keys disappear. We can rekey individual doors in your master system without breaking the rest of it — that's the whole point of having a planned system rather than a pile of unrelated locks.

Why people call us across Port Wentworth and the Georgia coast

We focus on one specific slice of Chatham and Effingham county — the Highway 21 corridor, the five cities around the Port of Savannah, and the communities sitting next to them. That focus matters. We know which subdivisions have Cluster Box Units (CBUs) versus individual mailboxes. We know that the doors at Sanctuary Cove tend to have Schlage in a specific finish. We know which businesses on Pooler Parkway open early and which ones don't unlock until after 10 AM. When you call, you get a locksmith who already knows your area — not a dispatch center routing you to whoever picks up.

Commercial hardware brands we work with

We carry parts and have the tools to service the most common residential, condo and commercial brands installed across the Georgia coast. If you have a brand not listed, just call — there is a good chance we still service it.

How a typical service call works

1

You call

Tell us what happened, where you are, and what hardware is involved. We explain the work and give you a time window.

2

We confirm

For lockouts we confirm photo ID and proof of ownership or location. For installs we confirm the door type and what you want.

3

We arrive on site

A technician arrives in our service vehicle with the parts, blanks and programming gear most jobs need.

4

We finish & test

You see the work tested in front of you. You pay only for what was agreed before we started.

Helpful tip

Before we arrive, take a clear photo of your driver's license and have a second photo of your registration, lease, deed, or rental agreement ready. Having both ready cuts the visit time roughly in half and protects you from someone calling a locksmith on a property that isn't theirs.

What affects the job

Locksmith work depends on a few honest factors: the type of lock or vehicle, distance to the job, and any parts that need to be supplied. We handle evening calls the same as daytime calls during our regular hours — 9 PM is treated the same as 9 AM. We explain what's involved when you call so you know what to expect, and we never start work without your go-ahead.

Frequently asked questions

Can you add to an existing master system?

Sometimes — depends on whether the original system has spare key levels available. We can look at it and tell you what's possible.

Patented vs standard keys?

Patented (Mul-T-Lock, Medeco, Schlage Primus) means keys can't be copied at the hardware store. More secure but more expensive. Standard works fine for lower-risk buildings.
